15-Year-Old Kwon Wins PBA Dave Husted Open
MILWAUKIE, Ore. – 15-year-old Dohoon Kwon, from Vancouver, Washington, won the 45th Annual PBA Dave Husted Open this weekend at Milwaukie Bowl.
Kwon began bowling when his parents owned a restaurant next to a bowling center, where he practiced daily. According to his biography on Storm Bowling, his goal is to become a professional bowler.
In addition to bowling, Kwon participates in violin, golf, swimming, and dance. He speaks Japanese, Korean, and English, and has expressed interest in pursuing dentistry as a college major.

Blaine Weninger Wins 7th PBA Regional Title
Blaine Weninger won the PBA50 Sparetimes Classic at Spare Time Lanes in Kennewick, Washington. The victory marks Weninger’s seventh PBA Regional title.
Several Northwest bowlers advanced to Sunday’s finals, including Rich Corwin, Michael Kennedy, Shawn Copeland, and Craig Tuholski. After Saturday’s qualifying, Ted Dreibelbis led the field at +109, followed by Tuholski, Copeland, and Weninger. Kennedy was in fifth, and Corwin seventh.
On Sunday, the top 8 bowlers bowled five additional games. The top 4 advancing to the stepladder finals were:

In the stepladder finals:
Dreibelbis defeated Hohlbein, 225–203
Dreibelbis defeated Copeland, 181–177
Weninger defeated Dreibelbis, 245–203
Weninger earned the tournament title and the $1,500 first-place prize.
On social media, Weninger stated:
“Saturday during qualifying I did enough to make it to Sunday and today I bowled about as good as I am capable of. It’s a great feeling when everything click because it does not happen very often.”

3rd Place Finish For Kelso's Zack Stone At PBA Northwest Regional Drake Mechanical Open
GARDEN CITY, ID – The PBA Northwest Region Drake Mechanical Open at Westy's Garden Lanes ends with Lanndyn Carnate of Redding, California, securing the title.
Carnate led the field with a total of 6,103 pins, including an impressive record of 5 wins and 1 loss in the match play rounds, earning him the $2,300 1st place prize.
Riley Woodard from Orem, Utah, finished in second place followed by Zack Stone from Kelso, Washington,.
