July 15, 2025

Vancouver, WA –Thomas Ault Jr. and Chris Tuholski captured the title at the 2025 PBA Northwest Region Member/Non-Member Doubles, held July 12 and 13 at Husted’s Hazel Dell Lanes in Vancouver, Washington.

The team qualified fifth after eight games of qualifying with a total of +381, securing their position among the top eight teams that advanced to match play on Sunday. Over 12 games of round-robin match play, Ault and Tuholski posted scores above 200 in every game, earning bonus pins in 10 of 12 matches. They climbed to the top of the standings entering the position round, where a final game of 267 secured the championship.

The event marked Tuholski’s sixth PBA Regional title and his second consecutive title on the Northwest Region tour. For Ault, the win came after previous close finishes in this event. According to Ault, the team got off to a slow start in qualifying, sitting near the bottom of the standings after the early frames, but rebounded with steady performances across the weekend. He noted recent grip adjustments and practice leading up to the event contributed to his improved performance.

In match play, the pair remained consistent, avoiding low games and maintaining momentum. Their final game featured a front-seven start that sealed the victory.

The event drew 42 teams, each composed of one PBA member and one non-member. The tournament format included eight qualifying games on Saturday and 12 games of match play on Sunday. The Wayne Webb 37’ oil pattern was used.
