Park Lanes Holds It's First Summer Time Swiss Tournament
Park Lanes hosted its first-ever Summer Time Swiss Tournament over the weekend, presented by Oregon Automotive. The two-day event drew 28 five-person teams.
The tournament featured competitive play across both days, including a standout performance by Dwayne Fagen, who rolled an 808 series during the final three games on Saturday.
Adding a unique element to the format was a mid-day side event called “The Eliminator.” Held between games three and four each day, the event featured one bowler per team competing individually for a cash prize awarded to their team. The side competition added a layer of excitement and participation for bowlers and spectators alike.
At the end of Saturday's action, “Lady and the Tramps” and “Cases4Phones” were tied at the top of the leaderboard, each with 30 points.
Sunday’s competition culminated in a head-to-head matchup between Mt. Hood Lanes and Cases4Phones. Mt. Hood Lanes entered the final game with a two-point lead and maintained their advantage, winning the game 5 points to 2. The victory secured them the $5,000 first place prize.

Will Tefft:
“To everyone who participated in the inaugural Park Lanes Summer Swiss — my staff and I would like to say thank you for making our first year such a huge success. This event wouldn’t exist without the bowlers who showed up, competed, and brought the energy.
A special thank you as well to our incredible sponsors and everyone who donated to the raffle table. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to give away some fantastic prizes.

Lastly, a big shoutout to the face of the tournament — Jim Ferretti. Jim, your countless hours behind the scenes made this event possible. We truly couldn’t have done it without you.”
